Classes start after Labor Day (Sept 2, 2025) and run through the end of the school year. Our season is approximately 36 weeks long in preparation for our end of season Recital performance. Exact date for 2026 TBA.

We do not allow parents/guardians to sit in our classes to allow dancers to explore, bond and grow with their teachers and classmates without inhibition. We allow 2 parent watch days during the season, in the winter and fall, to allow a glimpse into our classes. Early childhood dancers will ease into the separation/drop off process a little differently and will receive specific information on what to expect after registration.
-
Dancer’s placement depends on a variety of considerations- age, experience, ability, etc.. With their best interest at heart, we may adjust your dancer’s class placement to best suit their needs.
-
Each class has a specific look- leotard and tights for ballet, leotard and shorts for jazz and contemporary, fitted shirt and shorts for tap and hip hop. Each class outfit is described carefully in our ‘Welcome Packet,’ which will be received upon registering. Links to purchase studio approved shoes are also available in the packet. We ask that you do not purchase dance shoes from Target or Amazon.

Class tuition is based on the number of classes taken per dancer/family. It is broken down into 6 payments collected throughout the season (Sept, Oct, Nov and Jan, Feb, Mar). Tuition is paid directly through our parent portal app. We also accept payments through zelle and venmo. Teachers do not accept payments. Please email info@turningpointdancestudio.com if additional arrangements are needed.

The recital fee is separate from class tuition as some dancers choose to take class and not participate in the annual Recital. In choosing to participate, the fee pays for costumes, performance venue, floor rental, videographer, live action photographer, sound/lighting technicians and more.
